Rinoa Heartilly of Final Fantasy VIII © Square Enix
Started drawing this on 9/1/09 while i was waiting for a math class that ended up being canceled, and finished the pencil version on 9/4/09 after getting off of work and waiting to pick my mom up from her work.
Inked/colored drawing finished on 9/4/09... upon completion, i realized i flipped the direction of her bangs in the original sketch, so i had to flip this, which explains the reason it's signed backwards.
I've been playing Final Fantasy VIII lately since i got it not too long ago, and i finally got my PS2 to consistently read PSone disks. *dances* anyways, i'm trying something with cosplays... whenever i cosplay a character, i try to draw said character... it started with my Roxas... and i drew Reno last time i wore my Reno, but i gave that away, and the same with my Vincent. i suppose you know where i'm going with this... i'm working on a Rinoa cosplay. actually, it's almost done, i just have to paint wings on the duster which i sewed from scratch. no pattern, just guess work, hunches, know-how, and a tank-top that was close enough to the shape i wanted. pics to come, i just have to paint the wings on, but there's no time for that before i wear it as a test tomorrow (9/5/09)

i'm very pleased with the way this drawing turned out, i should have known, i've been in this REALLY LONG slump of artist's block, since about 6 months after the last semester i was in school, WAY back in 2006, and the moment i get back to school, BAM! no more artist's block! nearly 3 years later. sure, i've drawn a few things here and there the last three years, but not the mountains and mountains of drawings i used to do. there's been this drawing, a drawing of Aeris that i failed on inking the hand and am very ashamed of now (even though i could finish inking it and crop it above the mistake, and it would be a wonderful drawing)
SO HAPPY this colored version came out well! i'm very pleased!
Inked with Pigma Microns, sizes 005, 01, 03, and colored with Prismacolor markers.
